YMCA Lazyman Triathlon

Check out this great fitness challenge! We want you to challenge yourself to complete a full Ironman Triathlon! Instead of completing it in one day, we are giving you 31 days! All ages and fitness levels welcome. Next challenge will be FALL 2020.  Look for more information soon!

Yoga

*** POP UP Yoga classes each week held outside in June 2020.  Call the Y for days and times.  First class is 6/11@ 6pm.

** No Yoga classes will be held in July 2020.

** Laura will return with a normal class schedule starting in Aug 2020

Vinyasa is a flow style yoga that involves stringing postures together and moving seamlessly from one to another. All ages and abilities are welcome at ALL classes. No registration needed but spots are limited. Participants must bring their own YOGA mat.

Words from our new instructor Laura MacKay: The word “Yoga” translates as “union”. It is a journey, not a destination or singular thing to be mastered. Personally, the greatest part of practicing is the connections and support made with those around me. I am thrilled to join the Y family and hope to cultivate a safe place to be present and grow. The classes offered will always bring opportunities for modifications and challenges. My hope is to cater to our needs whether it is the first class ever taken or your salutations have been well seasoned. The only expectation of you is to honor your body with where it’s at. This changes day to day and while I will be leading the class, your practice will look different than mine. Join me for time in community, strength, flexibility, balance, and mindfulness. Namaste.

Senior Swim

This class is for adults 62 and older! The class includes a ½ hour in the gym.   The class uses stretching, walking, light weights, resistance bands, and more! The pool time is “on your own” so feel free to walk, swim laps, or just float!  You are welcome to attend just one or both

Silver Sneakers

Silver Sneakers is a fitness program through your health insurance plan that provides a basic gym membership to seniors age 65 or older. Our cost is $5/month and that includes ALL fitness classes! The YMCA is now a Silver Sneakers Location! Does your plan include it? Find out at www.silversneakers.com.

Pickleball

Pickleball is a paddle sport for all ages and skill levels! The rules are simple and the game is easy to learn. Equipment is provided by the YMCA if needed. Come join us in the YMCA gym to try it out! Days and Times vary, check at the front desk for current schedule.
